Roy Olson

While attending Northwestern University, Olson began his career at the Chicago American, a newspaper described as the “Madhouse on Madison Street”

“I then got into something secure,” he remembers. “Politics.”

He served for 25 years with the U.S. Small Business Administration and nine with the Illinois Department of Transportation.  Olson now chairs an urban ministry called The Barnabas Project.

Olson’s accomplishments have earned him a place in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who in the Midwest.

His second book, "Beating Death...Day-by-Day...Prayer-by-Prayer," was published in January 2012.  His earlier book, "From Bistros to Bible Study," was published in 2006.
